Spyro The Dragon

Spyro the Dragon is an iconic video game character from the 90s. Created by Eugene Choo and Greg Chantastic, Spyro was first released for the 3D consoles in 1998. The game was based on the characters and settings from the book The Dragon Book by Margaret Mackey. Since its release, the Spyro series has garnered a cult following among gamers and parents alike.

In general, Spyro is a heroic dragon who protects his home Tyros from evil forces. He enjoys flying, swimming and fighting enemies- all of which he does with his magic abilities. Over the course of the series, several player characters take on the persona of Spyro in his world. In these instances, Spyro assumes the role of protagonist and performs actions similar to those performed by his human counterpart. As such, he appears to be a noble dragon willing to fight for what he believes in.

The gameplay in the Spyro series involves collecting gems and eggs. The player must first collect three golden eggs from around their world. Each of these eggs contains a unique power that can be used during gameplay. After obtaining all three eggs, players must then find three purple gems hidden around their world. These gems augment different aspects of Spyro's abilities and can have profound effects on gameplay. Players must then combine these relics with their own innate dragon powers to create powerful new attacks.

The story in the first game started when there was an eruption in Dragon City and it caused a dragon to hatch from an egg. His name is Spyro and he was adopted by a human child named Cynder. After many years, a dragon named Gnasty Gnor steals Cynder's soul stone, which gives her her power as a Dark Cycle Champion. Because of this, she loses her memory and has to find it back again- but she doesn't know where she put it! This sends her on a journey with Spyro to save it so she can remember everything she's done wrong as a Dark Cycles Rider.

Based on how heroic Spyro acts within the games, it would seem that he is indeed a brave character willing to do whatever it takes to save his home from danger. His fans hope that one day their favorite dragon will get the recognition he deserves as an icon within gaming history.
